Community Physiotherapy Clinic Program
The Ministry of Health has developed a system to provide physiotherapy to Ontarians through the Community Physiotherapy Clinic (CPC) program. The duration, frequency, and method of treatment will be discussed with you following an extensive assessment by the physiotherapist. We will work with each patient on developing both short and long term goals to achieve a quick and lasting recovery and provide ongoing adaptation of the treatment plan. CPC physiotherapy is available for those without extended care coverage who meet certain qualifications and there are no fees for CPC physiotherapy service. A doctor’s or nurse practitioner’s referral is recommended that states the specific reason for physiotherapy. Please see the attached documents below for eligibility requirements and for more information.
Please note that under most circumstances, total knee and hip replacements are not covered under the CPC program. If you have received a total knee or hip replacement and would like to receive government-funded physiotherapy services, please give our office a call at 416-447-1457.
